Head Instructor, Mark Halladay, has spent most of his life involved in emergency services. He began his career as a volunteer firefighter with the Delta Fire Department. In 1988 he graduated from Algonquin College in the Emergency Medical Care Attendant (EMCA) Program and began his career as an Ambulance Attendant/Paramedic in Gananoque, Brockville and Kingston. In 1994 his career shifted from front-line care to working for Kingston Base Hospital providing training and quality assurance to frontline paramedics. While working in this field Mark understood that a person’s best chances of surviving a sudden medical emergency or accident were if care arrived as quickly as possible. This is what drove him to open a small business called Mark R. Halladay Emergency Services in the fall of 1993. This allowed Mark to teach First Aid and CPR to anyone who was interested in learning these skills thus giving patients their best chance of survival.

A lot has changed over the years. Mark is now the Director of a 911 Ambulance Communications Centre. He possesses a Masters Certificate in Health Care and still loves teaching the standard courses like First Aid and CPR, as well as courses we have added along the way like Marine First Aid, Airway Management, Oxygen Therapy and Emergency First Responder! Under Mark's guidance, our business has grown over the years to help over 50,000 individuals get the training they require.
Our business prides itself on professionalism and the ability to maintain strict adherence to the standards of all the courses taught, all while keeping the information relevant and applicable to the target audience!
"Knowing that I am helping my clients feel confident when called upon in emergency situations makes me feel like I am making a difference in their communities "
- Mark Halladay
